From Bernice White
Explaining the background & emphasizing the importance of this teaching:
An intercessor from our prayer group said to me that she felt that I should let people know what the Lord has been saying to me that I have been sharing with the prayer group.

The word I got was “unity”.  There is "power in unity".  After talking to my friend about it, we decided to have an Interdenominational Meeting to “SAVE THE NATION”.  We invited all the Pentecostal Churches along with all the Catholic Charismatic's in the area to come together for "An Evening of Prayer, Praise and Worship" to bring the nation back to God.  We had three of them beginning in April 2016 and the last one right before the election.  We had as many as five different churches represented, but the Lord said we needed to bring all Christians into unity, that all prayer was good, and that we had to pray not just for the Nation but for the World.

I went after the Rosary groups and the Divine Mercy people and said, "Pray in unity with all those saying the Rosary in the world.  Say the Divine Mercy Chaplet in unity with all those saying the Divine Mercy Chaplet all over the world."  It went from there to “say the Mass in unity with all the Masses being said all over the world”.  Then the Lord impressed upon me that there is an opening, and if I touch that opening then people will repent.  It really made me upset and I said, "How many Masses, Rosary's, Divine Mercies and prayers of any kind will it take for you to act?  We need You to move in our behalf now."  He said that it is enough but what is missing is faith.  How do we turn hope and trust into faith?

We are an army and alone we are weak but together we can stand firm against the wickedness and snares of the devil and he will flee from us. “Together” we have Faith to believe that God will fight for us.  Halleluiah!  I believe that we got a miracle in this past election but our work is just beginning.  The Lord said to pray for your enemies from the heart.  How could I do that when I wanted to hit them over the head with a brick, to put it mildly?  He told me that we are all made in the image and likeness of God and that if I accept that, I can unite my spirit with everyone in the world.  We can have perfect acceptance of everyone by not looking at what they are doing but who God made them to be.  We say the Our Father every day and say “on earth as it is in heaven”.  This is the part of us that is on earth as it is in heaven.  This part is submitted to do the will of God but it is very weak.

When the devil told Eve that she would not die but would be like God and be able to decide for herself what is right and what is wrong.  We became our own God and people now believe they don't need God because they know better what is best for them.  When Mary said, "Be it done unto me according to your will," she gave us the chance to choose to put ourselves back under the authority of our God.

We need to stop falling for the same lie that Eve fell into. If we unite our prayers with the part of each person that is made in the image and likeness of God, we can become an army that releases the Grace of God right into their hearts, that will enlighten their mind and strengthen their will to do good and avoid evil, so they can see truth and turn back to God.  The devil can't do a thing about it because we are for them and not against them.  It takes all the anger and bitterness out of us and we can rejoice because we have the victory in Jesus.  He does all the work and we just stand firm and watch and see what He does.

Bernice has been in the renewal over 40 years and is a leader in Sanctuary Prayer Group Lancaster

FURTHER BACKGROUND:
As a wife and mother of four in the late 60's, Bernice began to question many of the things happening in her own life as well as the Post-Vatican II Church.

Confronting the Lord in prayer with the dilemmas caused by these problems, she found herself demanding of God the power she needed to overcome the confusion in her life, and especially the power to overcome sin, realizing she could not do this on her own. It was probably the "I want it now or I'm leaving" that got her "zapped" causing her to go into what is called "resting in the Spirit". There was no doubt that something had happened. Something she knew nothing about. For the next two years, God began to open to her many things, in many ways, that would strongly influence an active ministry for the rest of her life. The year was 1969 and she counts that initial experience as her "Baptism in the Holy Spirit".

In 1971 charismatic renewal came to the Harrisburg Diocese. Before that time such experiences could only be found in certain protestant communities, books and teachings but this would widen her understanding. With the forming of Catholic Charismatic Prayer Groups, Bernice would find herself being called to leadership in many different ways. Many diverse groups benefited from her spiritual gifts on the local and diocesan level. Fifty-four years have not diminished her zeal for the works of the Holy Spirit.

Some of the many groups Bernice has been active with include: The Full Gospel Business Men's Fellowship, Charismatic Pastoral Team, Diocesan Women's Conference, Unbound Freedom In Christ and many different bible studies in parishes and homes. Recently she has joined with a group called Beginning Experience that ministers to people having lost a spouse due to death or divorce.

(A cradle Catholic, attending St. Anne's Grade School & Lancaster Catholic High School, she has lived in Lancaster her whole life. She was married to Marty, her beloved husband, for 63 years.)
